For centuries the Kavussari and the Forsellians have waged war. They have a fragile truce but due to their seething disgust of each other they still pit their warriors against each other in arenas rather than on the fields of war.

Those episodes of lethal combat are now broadcast throughout the galaxy, as entertainment... a spectacle known as… The Nexuiz Competition: An arena based first person shooter where you can alter the rules of the match and laws of physics while you dominate opponents in ever-changing hostile environments bleeding with hatred.

  • Arena FPS is back – inspired by the giants of the Arena FPS genre, Nexuiz reinvents twitch gaming for next generation consoles and PC
  • Over 100 ‘Dynamic Mutators’ serve as game-changing power-ups – Jetpacks, Uber-Nuke, Low Gravity, Big Head Mode and many more…
  • 9 deadly arenas – powered by CryENGINE 3, Nexuiz sets a new graphical benchmark for a digital-only release
  • Designed for competitive play - a superbly balanced weapon set, classic game modes, and extensive Clan and Leaderboard support
  • Play solo or online – hone your skills against bots, then wage war online against the best in 4v4 multiplayer matches

Hey everyone, We're happy to have met our goal by re-releasing Nexuiz on steam in a fixed state by the end of the year. It still isn't for sale again, which we'll have more information on later - but those of you who have purchased it can now finally play it again. The database has completely be rebuilt so you shouldn't have any issues playing the game anymore. We're still working on a system that allows XBLA nexuiz fans a free steam key but are unfortunately limited with ways to validate if you have/haven't purchased it. We have a work around though and will post more information about that soon. We're still putting some touches on everything so you might see some patches trickle in - but everything should be or about to be running as usual. In the mean time if you want some good IllFonic stuff check out Friday the 13th: The Game - Moving Hazard - Revival - these projects are all pushing on some great stuff, check them out! -Kedhrin

Hey everyone. We have some great news, our first Nexuiz Beta has been pushed to Steam. If you have Nexuiz on Steam you should have access to this now. We haven't put up official dedicated servers just yet but it should work for you if you try to run the client. We have some interesting developments here and are currently trying to solidify some things before we let the knowledge out... in the mean time, if you have any issues with the Nexuiz Beta client please let us know on here or in the steam community forums... just remember - it is "Nexuiz Beta" and not "Nexuiz" in your Steam Library. The store for Nexuiz is still not available. Thanks! Kedhrin

Hey everyone! Great news! Nexuiz is almost 100% functional again! We started getting it back up and working late last month and almost have the new database online that will allow us to get everything back up and running. We are currently looking into ways Xbox 360 fans of the game can get PC steam keys and keep up on our word of giving you guys all free copies for your friends. When we go live again we'll be doing a live stream to celebrate. At IllFonic we've had an incredibly busy week with announcements - from our new FPS Moving Hazard - announcing Friday the 13th: The Game - a new website and about to drop a major patch update to Revival - we wanted to make sure we followed up with our promise to you guys back in January and get Nexuiz back online. We love Nexuiz and can't wait to play it again! -Kedhrin

Hello everyone! We are excited to announce that IllFonic is quickly approaching a position where we can start putting resources back into the game. The THQ fiasco has put a burden on all of us, the inability to play the game has really been crappy. We love the game and nearly died making the game from intense crunch. We haven't even been able to play Nexuiz internally since the servers went down. This really bums us out. Our entire team has been reallocated to other projects and it put us on a lock for Nexuiz. Now, we're aiming to change that with big plans. Coming here soon, we'll be sharing a link for you to answer a questionnaire that will help us make Nexuiz better as we prepare to relaunch the title. Thank you for your understanding and patience, Kedhrin

Thank you everyone that alerted us to Nexuiz being removed from the Steam store. We believe this is related to the liquidation of THQ assets. We hope these are the final stages of THQ's grasp on Nexuiz. Hopefully we'll have full control over the title and can do whatever we want with it again soon. At that point, we are going to try to do something special for the Steam version of Nexuiz and get it back up. There are still no plans to get Nexuiz back on XBLA. Thanks again and hopefully we'll have more information soon! I know some of you are mad about this situation. So are we, but we will try to get this game back up and running smoothly for you soon. Right now we just can't put down the costs to maintain the game when we've never received a penny on royalties due to the THQ bankruptcy. Once THQ is completely out of the picture, we'll have more freedom to do what we can to really help. -Kedhrin

Hey everyone. Here is a sneak peak of a new game we are currently working on. This time around... we're being more cautious this time if we get a publisher... that they don't go bankrupt. Maybe we can stay publisher free?...

Most of the time it’s expected for a given video game genre to follow a series of long established elements. Despite however these elements may be construed with the audience at hand, developers will often follow the formula to a T; even if it means copying a game that was already successful.

Some of you who have tried playing recently have noticed issues with the PC version of Nexuiz database servers. As part of the hot fun with the THQ mess, our database server was caught up in some billing confusion between IllFonic and THQ. We are currently trying to get our database transferred and hosted locally so we don't have to worry about stuff like that anymore. Unfortunately, it's currently in limbo. We apologize about this and should hopefully have something up soon(ish). If all else fails, we'll have to do a database reset. Will have news for you when its up.
